Educational Student Support Program

At Plymouth Christian School, ESSP teachers work with students, parents, and classroom teachers to help students with unique needs understand and continually strive to reach the full potential of their God-given gifts and talents, for His glory.

Depending on the students’ needs, ESSP services include:

Classroom Support

Monitored study sessions, learning strategies and organizational skills instruction, alternate-site testing locations with extended time, and pre-teaching or re-teaching lessons.

Individualized programs

PCS provides three key areas for students who need an individualized plan:

  • Functional academics – lessons tailored specifically to the students’ needs particularly in the areas of language arts and math.
  • Classroom integration – modified lessons within the regular classroom to build community, share in large group learning experiences, and build appreciation for the unique gifts God has given each student.
  • Life Skills – the development of skills pertinent to the students’ needs and levels (personal care, social skills, use of money, career exposure, work experience).

ESSP services provide the support for students that need assistance beyond the typical classroom experience.  As a result, the whole student body at Plymouth Christian benefits from daily interactions with all students that the Lord has placed in our care.
